After a year of pestilence and quarantine (and way too much Kurosawa), I made a fantasy Japanese farmhouse out of popsicle sticks, dowel rods, corrugated paper, canvas, and plastic mesh for needlework. I had no plans, no images, took no measurements. It was almost like an automatic build. The shoji doors are functional, the floors lift off like tatami mats, and it’s all roughly in 32mm scale.
